Baku, Minsk eye deeper defence cooperation at global arms expo PHOTO
On May 21, the international exhibition of arms and military equipment, MILEX-2025, officially opened in Minsk, Belarus.
According to Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defence Industry, the Azerbaijani delegation is participating in the event under the leadership of Defence Industry Minister Vugar Mustafayev, Caliber.Az reports.
The exhibition features 126 companies from Belarus, Russia, Iran, China, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, and India, showcasing a wide range of military technologies. These include armoured vehicles, missile and artillery systems, small arms, ammunition, electro-optical devices and systems, chemical and biological protection equipment, aviation and missile technologies, among others.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, Vugar Mustafayev met with Dmitry Pantus, Chairman of Belarus’s State Authority for Military Industry. During their meeting, both sides emphasised the importance of international defence exhibitions as unique platforms for exploring innovations in the global defence sector.
The two officials also exchanged views on the further development of bilateral defence cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus.
The MILEX-2025 exhibition will run through May 24.
