Baku session of Turkic religious leaders begins
The third session of religious leaders of the Organization of Turkic states (OTS) has commenced in Baku.
According to Report, the session, which is being hosted in Baku’s “Gulustan” Palace, is being attended by the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims' Board and Grand Mufti Allahshukur Pashazade, the Secretary-General of the Islamic Cooperation Organization Baghdad Amreyev, Turkey's Directorate of Religious Affairs Ali Erbash, Uzbekistan's Mufti Nuriddin Kholiknazarov, Kazakhstan’s Grand Mufti Nauryzbay Taganuli, Turkmenistan’s Mufti Yalkab Khodjaruliyev as well as other religious and academic scholars as public figures.
On October 20 the Charter of the OTS Council is going to be signed in Shusha, following the approval of joint statements.
The following day, the conference named “Wealth of Turkic-Islamic heritage and its significance amidst contemporary challenges in modern times” will be held in the Gulustan Palace.
The previous sessions of the religious leaders took place in Istanbul and the Kazakh city of Turkestan.
