Baku slams delay in Azerbaijan-Armenia normalisation

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has stated that Armenia's artificial delay in normalising relations with Azerbaijan has negative consequences and poses significant risks.

Bayramov made the remarks at a joint press conference with Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Baku on June 24, according to Report.

"Azerbaijan advocates that the conflict is in the past and it is necessary to fulfil all the reached agreements, to pursue a peaceful agenda to achieve lasting peace and prosperity in the region," he said.

"The restoration of the liberated territories is a priority for Azerbaijan. We will see the return of internally displaced people to the liberated territories soon," he said.
