Baku to resume trial of Armenian citizens on February 5

The open trial of Armenian citizens Araik Harutyunyan, Arkadiy Gukasyan, Bako Saakyan, David Ishkhanyan, David Babayan, Levon Mnatsakanyan and others, accused of crimes against peace and humanity and war crimes, will continue on February 5, Azertag reports.

The defendants also face charges including planning and waging aggressive war, genocide, violations of the laws and customs of war, terrorism, financing of terrorism, and the violent seizure and unlawful retention of power.

The trial of the Armenian citizens began on January 17, 2025. On December 26, the judicial panel withdrew for deliberation.
