Baku: Uzbekistan among first states to assist Azerbaijan in Karabakh’s restoration
Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan signed 150 documents on cooperation in various fields.
The statement was heard from Zamin Aliyev, Deputy Head of Eastern Europe, South Caucasus, Western and Central Asia Department of the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry, during the round table "Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan: New Horizons of Cooperation" in Baku, Report informs.
According to him, now the countries are also striving to increase trade.
“After the war, new realities have developed, we highly appreciate the position and support of Uzbekistan in the process of restoring the liberated territories,” he said, adding that Uzbekistan was one of the first to lend a helping hand to Azerbaijan in restoring the liberated territories.
Thus, a school will be built in Fuzuli, where 940 children will study.
He noted that the opening of the Zangazur corridor will create additional opportunities for the development of Azerbaijan's transit capabilities.
