Belarus recommends Armenia to thoroughly read, reread President Lukashenko’s speeches Minsk responds to Armenian MFA
The press secretary of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Anatoly Glaz has said that President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko’s approach to the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict is based on reality, understandable and honest.
Glaz was commenting on press secretary of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Vahan Hunanyan’s statement that President Lukashenko’s position on the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the situation on the border is not allied, according to the Belarussian Belta agency.
"You know, the Armenian Foreign Ministry has taken a very original position. Belarus has been confirming loyalty to its allied obligations in deeds, rather than in words, throughout its history", he said.
He noted that "the approaches voiced by the president of Belarus are based on reality, understandable and honest".
"Let me recall that the Belarusian side has consistently advocated a peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict, making great efforts in all available formats, both multilateral and bilateral", the press secretary added.
He said that "the former and current leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia are grateful to the Belarusian president for the sincere desire for peace and prosperity for all peoples of the South Caucasus, personal contribution to the normalization of the Azerbaijan-Armenia relations".
"Therefore, we recommend our friends and partners to thoroughly read and reread the numerous speeches of the Belarusian president on this difficult, but a completely solvable issue", Glaz added.
