Belarusian leader to visit Azerbaijan PHOTO

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov recently held discussions with Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik during his visit to Baku, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told Caliber.Az.

The meeting, first conducted one-on-one and later expanded to include delegations from both countries, focused on the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Belarus, preparations for an upcoming state visit by the President of Belarus to Azerbaijan, and regional developments.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the extensive cooperation developed over the past three decades in various sectors such as economy, trade, agriculture, transportation, and technology. They highlighted the role of the joint intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation and discussed plans for its upcoming meeting.

Bayramov emphasized the significance of frequent high-level exchanges in fostering political dialogue and underlined the importance of the forthcoming state visit of the Belarusian President to Azerbaijan. The two countries' strategic partnership extends to various regional and international platforms, including the UN, OSCE, and CIS.

Aleinik was briefed on the post-conflict situation in the region, ongoing reconstruction efforts in liberated territories, and opportunities for collaboration in these endeavours. Additionally, discussions included preparations for the 29th session of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
