Bilateral cooperation flourishes between Azerbaijan, Nepal Attorney General says
The Azerbaijani General Prosecutor's Office has announced that Azerbaijan's Attorney General Kamran Aliyev met with a delegation led by Attorney General of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal Ramesh Badal.
The sides met during the 29th Annual Conference of the International Association of Prosecutors in Baku, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Aliyev noted that there has been significant progress in bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Nepal, which will celebrate 30 years of diplomatic ties next year.
He emphasised that the partnership has deepened across various sectors.
In turn, Ramesh Badal expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and congratulated Aliyev on professional holiday of the staff of prosecutor bodies, as well as the 106th anniversary of the establishment of Azerbaijan's prosecutorial bodies.
He highlighted the favourable and sincere atmosphere between the two countries' prosecutor offices, which fosters comprehensive development of their relationship. Annually employees of Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan solemnly celebrate their professional holiday on October 1.
The celebration of this day is based on the historical necessity. By the Decision of the Council of Ministers of the People's Republic of Azerbaijan dated October 1, 1918 Azerbaijani National Leader Heydar Aliyev signed a decree dated July 17, 1998 on the celebration of October 1st as the professional holiday of employees of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
