Birlestik-2024: Azerbaijani forces deploy for joint exercises in Kazakhstan PHOTO/VIDEO
Azerbaijani servicemen have commenced their participation in the Birlestik-2024 operational-tactical command and staff exercises, as outlined in a joint plan signed by the Defence Ministries of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
The exercises will kick off on July 11 at the Oymasha training range in Kazakhstan and Cape Tokmak in the Caspian Sea, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az.
The country's contingent includes Army commandos, paratroopers, and search and rescue teams, alongside Su-25 aircraft from the Air Force and patrol and landing ships from the Navy. These units have already been deployed to Kazakhstan for the exercises.
The joint operational-tactical command and staff exercises are scheduled to continue until July 17, focusing on enhancing regional cooperation and interoperability among the participating nations' armed forces.
