Bosnia’s economy minister to visit Azerbaijan for key energy summits
Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, Staša Košarac, will visit Azerbaijan to participate in international energy events in Baku, Azerbaijani Ambassador Vilayat Guliyev said.
The delegation, led by Košarac, will attend the 12th ministerial meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) Advisory Council and the 4th ministerial meeting of the Green Energy Advisory Council, both scheduled for March 3 in Baku, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Bosnia and Herzegovina also participated in last year’s meetings of these formats and places high hopes on Azerbaijan for expanding and diversifying its energy supply sources, according to the ambassador.
“In particular, the construction of a power plant in Serbia with Azerbaijan’s support offers hope for resolving energy issues in the Republika Srpska — one of the two entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The plant’s capacity will be substantial, at 500 megawatts,” the ambassador noted.
