British Minister: Territorial integrity of Azerbaijan must be respected

“With regard to the issue between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the position of the United Kingdom is that the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan must be respected.”

British Deputy Foreign Minister Lord Tariq Ahmad said this, APA's British bureau reports.

He made this statement in response to a provocative question by Baroness Cox, a pro-Armenian member of the House of Lords, during a debate on international issues in the House of Lords.

The Minister said that the UK supports the agreements reached and the protection of cultural heritage.

“The protection of cultural heritage is a very important issue, and we are working not only with these countries, but also with international organizations such as UNESCO, whose main goal is to protect heritage sites,” said Lord Tariq Ahmad.
