Budapest hosts international forum of Azerbaijani diaspora youth PHOTO
On the occasion of February 2, Youth Day, the international forum of Azerbaijani diaspora youth has been held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, under the organization of Azerbaijan House.
The State Committee for Work with Diaspora told Report that 120 Azerbaijanis from 40 countries, including Hungary, attended the forum under the motto "Activities of Azerbaijani diaspora youth in the post-conflict period: prospects and challenges".
The event brought together heads of student and youth organizations operating abroad, Azerbaijanis represented in international organizations, laureates of international competitions, young entrepreneurs, as well as Azerbaijani Ambassador to Hungary Tahir Taghizada, deputy chairman of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora Vagif Seyidbayov and an official of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Rustam Abdullayev.
The participants of the forum adopted a final statement in which they expressed support for the candidacy of Ilham Aliyev in the snap presidential election scheduled for February 7 in Azerbaijan. The statement also notes that Azerbaijani youth intends to actively participate in voting on the election day.
