On June 17, Natalia Kiselova, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, led a delegation on a visit to Victory Park in Baku.
The group was greeted with a guard of honour upon arrival at the park, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Kiselova laid a wreath at the Victory Monument as a mark of respect.
During the visit, she received a detailed briefing on Victory Park’s significance.
The park honours the extraordinary bravery of the Azerbaijani people during the 44-day Patriotic War, commemorates their historic victory, and pays tribute to the nation’s fallen heroes.
Notably, the Victory Arch—standing 44 metres tall and 22 metres wide, with 44 columns at the entrance—symbolises the duration of the war.
Victory Park, which covers almost 10 hectares, was officially inaugurated on November 8, 2024 by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.
