Bulgarian ex-president commends Baku forum results

The Baku Forum has become a platform for solving global problems.

"The Baku Forum is one of the most important events held this year in the world," Trend quotes the Bulgarian ex-president, Rosen Plevneliev, as saying on Saturday on the sidelines of the IX Global Baku Forum. 

"The forum brought together representatives of more than 50 countries and international organizations," Rosen Plevneliev noted the uniqueness of the Global Baku Forum in this context.

"We express our gratitude to Azerbaijan, the leadership of the country for organizing a meeting of people from different countries and spheres, helping to find a solution to issues with their consideration from different aspects. This forum, which discussed topics such as the current crisis in Europe due to the war in Ukraine, and multilateralism in the South Caucasus, is a platform that contributes to the solution of global issues," he said.

"The changes which are currently taking place in many areas in the world also bring certain problems. At such a time, it is very important that representatives of different countries, organizations, former heads of state and government, and diplomats come together for discussions. They share their opinions and offer solutions to problems. In addition to politicians, representatives of other spheres, economists, and youth are also participating in the forum,” Plevneliev added.
