Bulgarian ex-president: World grateful to Azerbaijan for contribution to fight COVID-19 pandemic

Bulgarian ex-President Rosen Plevneliev has said that Azerbaijan, as the chair of the Non-Aligned Movement, shows an excellent example of leadership.

“The world is grateful to Azerbaijan for its contribution to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic,” Plevneliev told Report.

The ex-president noted that Azerbaijan sets very ambitious goals in the healthcare sector.

“We have heard about Azerbaijan’s plans in this sphere. Azerbaijan plays a special role because it is the chair of the Non-Aligned Movement, which unites 120 countries,” he added.

Plevneliev also expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for hosting the tenth Global Baku Forum, which is a very important event for the entire region.

“Prominent political figures from different countries are exchanging views and are coming to common conclusions here, it is possible to see this. However, the most beautiful thing at the forum is its spirit of tolerance and mutual understanding which Azerbaijani great poet Nizami Ganjavi taught everyone,” the ex-president noted.
