Bulgarian foreign minister to visit Azerbaijan for 11th Global Forum
Bulgarian Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev is set to visit Azerbaijan, Bulgarian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Rouslan Stoyanov, announced.
The statement was made during an event celebrating Bulgaria's National Liberation Day, Caliber.Az reports citing local media.
According to the ambassador, the primary purpose of Georgiev’s visit will be to participate in the 11th Global Forum, a significant international event. Further details regarding his schedule and additional meetings during the visit are yet to be disclosed.
On Azerbaijan-Bulgaria relations, Ambassador Stoyanov said that the two countries are looking to strengthen their strategic energy partnership to enhance regional energy security.
In his address, Stoyanov highlighted the crucial role of energy cooperation between the two nations. He noted that under a long-term agreement, Azerbaijan currently supplies nearly half of Bulgaria's annual natural gas consumption. The ambassador expressed Bulgaria's commitment to further deepening energy ties with Azerbaijan, underscoring the mutual importance of this collaboration for both countries.
