Chinese ambassador lands in Nakhchivan for key education initiative
The Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan has arrived in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for a visit to attend an educational project ceremony.
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, and the Chinese Ambassador Lu Mei, traveled to Nakhchivan earlier today, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The visit aims to showcase and participate in the handover ceremony of the “Interactive educational assistance to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic” project, carried out as part of ongoing educational cooperation between Azerbaijan and China.
To recall, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Science and Education and the Ministry of Commerce of China signed an agreement on project themed “Interactive educational assistance to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic” on October 26, 2023.
The document was inked by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev and the then Ambassador of China to Azerbaijan Guo Min as part of the Agreements between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on technical and economic cooperation.
The agreement envisages building the technical infrastructure of the Ministry of Education of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the enterprises under the ministry, as well as establishing a data center and an electronic platform.
