Chinese delegation pays tribute to Azerbaijani fallen heroes at Alley of Honor in Baku PHOTO

On September 15, a visiting Chinese delegation led by Su Hui, Vice Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), paid tribute to the national leader of Azerbaijan, architect and founder of the modern independent state, Heydar Aliyev, at the Alley of Honor.

The delegation laid a wreath and flowers at his grave, Azertac reports.

The guests also visited the Alley of Martyrs, honouring the memory of the brave sons and daughters of Azerbaijan who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for the country’s freedom and sovereignty. Flowers were laid at the graves, and a wreath was placed at the Eternal Flame monument.

During the visit, the delegation admired panoramic views of Baku from its highest point and received information about the history of Alley of Martyrs, as well as ongoing urban improvement and construction projects in the city.
