Climate changes, hybrid wars are adding damage to cultural heritages
The International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) is closely cooperating with Azerbaijan.
According to Report, ICOMOS Vice-President Zaynap Gul Unal provided this evaluation on December 7 at an international scientific conference titled "The role of UNESCO conventions in the protection of cultural values and aspects of improving their application", organized by the National Commission for UNESCO of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the National Committee of Azerbaijan for ICOMOS and the Institute of Development and Diplomacy of the ADA University.
"The challenges that we are faced with today are very serious. Climate changes, hybrid wars - all these are damaging the cultural heritage", Unal said, adding that this is why the matter of maintaining it becomes crucial.
Vice-President Unal concluded, by stating that "We are closely cooperating with Azerbaijan. Today's event will become another investment into our efforts of protecting cultural heritage".
