Over 400 world leaders, experts to gather at Global Baku forum

12 March 2025 16:25

The upcoming Global Baku Forum, scheduled to take place from 13 to 15 March 2025, will see the participation of more than 400 individuals, according to Ismail Serageldin, Co-Chairman of the Nizami Ganjavi International Centre.

Speaking at a press conference on March 12, Serageldin confirmed that the event will feature current and former heads of state and government, alongside prominent scholars and experts from over 50 countries, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

“The next three days of discussions will be open and candid, allowing us to gather valuable insights, thoughts, and ideas from the audience,” Serageldin remarked.

“This year is particularly significant as international relations have undergone substantial shifts, with a number of decisions made by the President of the United States in recent months having a considerable impact.”

The forum is expected to address key global issues, with an emphasis on fostering dialogue and sharing perspectives in light of recent developments on the international stage.

Note that, Global Baku Forum has firmly established itself as a leading event in Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus, Central Asia, and the Middle East.

As every year, NGIC is targeted to bring the wisdom and experience of its distinguished members and participants in an open and unconstrained debate to learn from the past, assess the present, and envision the future. In the 11 years of its existence, over 100 current and former heads of state and government, Nobel Laureates, and more than 4000 other high-level representatives of governments, international organizations, and civil society have participated in the Forum in order to discuss how to overcome the world’s most pressing challenges.

The following topics will be discussed during the forum:

1. Geopolitical Shifts: Responsible Partnerships versus Rivalry.

2. Reimagining Multilateralism for a Multipolar World.

3. The UN Pact for the Future: Building a New Global Consensus Path to Peace.

4. Middle Powers in the New World Order.

5. Reconstruction: Regional Stability.

6. COP29: Breakthrough to Belem - Accelerating Transformation.

7. New Technologies for New World.

8. From Resolution to Revolution: Marking 25 Years of Women, Peace and Security Framework.
