Commander of Azerbaijan Naval Forces visits Italy

Commander of the Azerbaijan Naval Forces, Rear Admiral Subhan Bakirov is on an official visit to Italy to attend the 13th Trans-Regional Seapower Symposium in Venice at the invitation of Chief of the Italian Navy Admiral Enrico Credendino.

The main purpose of the event is to hold discussions on ensuring security in maritime transport, Caliber.Az reports with reference to the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.

The navy commanders of 44 countries and representatives of 18 major maritime organisations are involved in the event.

The international symposium will run until October 7, 2022.
