Community: Armenia continues provocations against Azerbaijan, undermining peace efforts
The Western Azerbaijan Community has issued a statement condemning Armenia for remaining committed to actions that escalate tensions with Azerbaijan.
Recently, information was circulated that a group of persons calling themselves “parliament” had sent an appeal of anti-Azerbaijani nature to the legislative body of a foreign country, as well as reports about the meeting of a certain “commission” engaged in activities against Azerbaijan, the community told Caliber.Az.
The Western Azerbaijan Community condemned these developments, emphasizing that Armenia persistently avoids dialogue with them.
"At the same time, Armenia refuses to engage in dialogue with the Western Azerbaijan Community, which takes no actions against its sovereignty and merely seeks a peaceful return to its ancestral lands. Meanwhile, the Armenian side is creating conditions for groups that pose a threat to Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty, which is unacceptable,”
The community deems unacceptable Yerevan’s actions that facilitate conditions for groups that pose threats to Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
“All these actions once again demonstrate that Armenia is not interested in a lasting peace. Instead, it pursues a course of militarization, fueling tensions in the region. We call on Armenia to cease such destructive steps that obstruct the peace process,” the community asserted.
