COP29 president, Pakistani Youth Program chief focus on climate action participation

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, president of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change Mukhtar Babayev has met with the Chairman of Pakistani Prime Minister's Youth Programme Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the participation of Pakistani youth in COP29, as well as climate initiatives promoted by youth and their participation in decision-making on climate issues, the Pakistani official made a post on her X account, per Report.

The 2024 Baku Climate Change Conference, or COP 29, is an international conference organized by the United Nations that will take place from November 11 to 22, 2024 in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

It will be the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP), and will bring together the signatory countries of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
