Court hearing continues in Baku for Armenian citizens accused of serious crimes
On October 17, an open court hearing in Baku continued the proceedings against Armenian citizens facing multiple criminal charges.
During the session, documents relating to the cases were formally presented, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The materials reviewed included interviews given by the accused—among them Arayik Harutyunyan, Bako Sahakyan, and David Babayan—to various online media outlets, statements made at official meetings, and content posted on their social media accounts.
According to the documents, these communications contained calls that promoted ethnic, national, and religious hostility, challenged the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, and included other criminal elements, such as incitement to war and terrorism.
The defendants face a wide range of charges, including war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide, aggression, terrorism, violations of the laws of war, financing terrorism, and the violent seizure of power. Court proceedings are ongoing.
