Defence chief lauds Azerbaijani, Turkish, Georgian trilateral meetings for regional peace

Azerbaijani Defence Minister Col-Gen Zakir Hasanov has hailed the importance of the Azerbaijani, Turkish, and Georgian trilateral meetings for promoting regional peace.

Hasanov made the remarks while receiving his Turkish and Georgian counterparts, Yashar Guler and Juansher Burchuladze, Trend reports.

“Trilateral meetings have become a tradition; they are important from the point of view of promoting peace in the region,” the minister said.

He noted that, given the traditional meetings of heads of state, the task of the ministries is to develop cooperation in the field of defence.

“I salute each of you. I am glad that our meeting took place this year in Baku. Thank you,” the minister emphasized.
