Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina discuss military cooperation, regional stability Video
On March 17, Azerbaijani Defence Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, met with a delegation led by the Minister of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Zukan Helez.
Hasanov briefed his counterpart on the ongoing military reforms within the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, the reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories, and the operational situation along the provisional border between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Caliber.Az reports per Defence Ministry.
Helez underscored the importance of establishing a working group to facilitate an effective exchange of expertise and the implementation of joint initiatives between Azerbaijan and BiH.
The meeting also highlighted the positive cooperation between the two nations within the framework of the Partnership for Peace programme and the Operational Capabilities Concept. Both sides commended the successful participation of their military personnel in international exercises.
Concluding the talks, both ministers expressed satisfaction with the growing dynamic of bilateral relations and discussed future cooperation in the fields of military, defence technology, and military education. Additionally, they addressed key issues concerning regional security.
