Defence ministry highlights Azerbaijani Army units' combat skills, training and discipline PHOTO

The Ministry of Defence held generalisation meetings in military units to discuss the results of the year's first quarter in accordance with Defence Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov's approved 2024 training plan.

The ministry told Caliber.Az that the meetings began with a minute of silence to honour the memory of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of Azerbaijan, followed by the national anthem.

During the meetings, reports were heard on the work done in the first quarter to improve combat ability, service organization, and combat activity of military units and the tasks fulfilled. In addition, the state of combat training, troop service, material and technical support, and military discipline were widely analyzed.

The participants were brought to attention the tasks assigned by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev, and the instructions of Defence Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov to improve the organization of service and combat activity, troop service and combat duty.

In conclusion, the servicemen who distinguished themselves in military service during the first quarter were awarded.
