Delegations from Baku, Ankara and Nicosia express solidarity with Turkish Cypriot leader
President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Ersin Tatar met with a parliamentary delegation representing Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Northern Cyprus ahead of the upcoming presidential elections in the TRNC.
The visit, announced by Şamil Ayrım, a member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, brought together members of inter-parliamentary friendship groups from the three countries, as per local media.
Discussions during the meeting focused on strengthening cooperation and expressing continued solidarity among the Turkic-speaking nations.
Ayrım said that the delegation conveyed their best wishes to President Tatar ahead of the elections and reiterated their firm support for the legitimate cause of the Turkish Cypriot people.
“Before the upcoming presidential elections, we extended our best wishes to Ersin Tatar. At the same time, we emphasised our support for the rightful cause of the people of Northern Cyprus,” Ayrım stated. “One nation, three states — strong solidarity, common future.”
