Deputy speaker of Ukrainian Rada hails joint demining project with Azerbaijan
Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk has said that joint demining with Azerbaijan is of vital importance for her country.
“Azerbaijan and Ukraine continue to implement joint projects, the most important of which is the project on demining of Ukrainian territories,” the Deputy Speaker told Report.
According to her, this project is of great importance for Ukraine, about 200,000 square kilometers territory of which is contaminated with mines.
Kondratiuk also highlighted a joint project with Azerbaijan to rehabilitate Ukrainian children affected by military actions. "To this day, two groups of children of Ukrainian servicemen have been sent to Azerbaijan. There are orphans among them. We will continue the realization of this project," she said.
The deputy speaker expressed her country’s gratitude to Azerbaijan for a great number of humanitarian aid. "Any humanitarian aid from Azerbaijan is of vital importance for us," she said.
