Did Putin watch the Biden and Trump debate? Kremin spox comments
According to Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary for the Kremlin, the televised debate between US President Joe Biden and presidential candidate Donald Trump was not a top priority for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Peskov mentioned that while the Kremlin would review media coverage of the debate, it considers such events as internal US matters, Caliber.Az reports citing Russian media.
"I don't think anyone expects the Russian president to set an alarm, wake up early, and watch the US debate. It's simply not on our agenda. We have many issues that are truly important to our country and directly relevant to us, which the president focuses on," Peskov stated.
CNN's presidential debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump took place on June 27. The debate featured contentious exchanges over issues like abortion, immigration, and foreign policy, with Biden addressing Trump's scandals and Trump critiquing Biden's record on crime and global affairs.
