Diplomat: Russia, Azerbaijan are two brotherly states
Head of the Russian Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Grigory Karasin has said that Russia and Azerbaijan were not only neighbours but two brotherly states.
“We are not only neighbours - we are brothers, we have been strategically interacting together for many centuries,” he said at a reception on the occasion of Azerbaijan's Independence Day, Report informs.
"We have learnt through the eyes of our presidents to look together at the problems that exist in the world, to understand correctly what it means for our region. We value stability very much. Baku now plays a very significant role in this, that is how everyone in Moscow thinks, God willing that it will be so in the future. Therefore, we congratulate our brotherly friendly people on the holiday and wish them all the best," Karasin underscored.
