Diplomats from Netherlands and Algeria evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan photo

Diplomats from the embassies of the Netherlands and Algeria in Iran have been evacuated to Azerbaijan through the Astara border checkpoint.

According to domestic media, the group included four staff members from the Embassy of the Netherlands, among them the ambassador, as well as nine employees from the Embassy of Algeria.

After completing the required procedures, the diplomats were allowed to enter Azerbaijani territory.

The process involved document checks, registration and other mandatory procedures. Authorities at the Astara checkpoint also implemented all necessary measures to ensure the diplomats’ safe passage across the border.
