Drone strike hits cement plant in Iran's Bandar-e Khomir
The American and Israeli militaries reportedly carried out a drone strike on a cement plant in Bandar-e Khomir, a port city on Iran’s southern coast in Hormozgan province, on April 4.
The Deputy Governor of Hormozgan for Political and Security Affairs told Khabar Fouri that the attack caused no human casualties, crediting the vigilance of local security forces for preventing loss of life.
“Despite the enemy’s attempts to disrupt production and create unsafe conditions, operations at the plant continue steadily, without interruptions to the production chain,” the statement said. “These unsuccessful actions do not undermine the resolve of the people or leadership in pursuing progress; on the contrary, they enhance defensive readiness and alertness to threats.”
The deputy governor also reported that, in recent days, civilian areas—including the docks of Bandar-e Pul, Bandar-e Lengeh, Bandar-e Charkheh, and Bandar Abbas, as well as Hengam and Qeshm islands—have been targeted by aircraft and artillery strikes. These attacks reportedly resulted in several deaths, fires on boats and civilian ships, and damage to port infrastructure.
