Dutch Envoy: EU actively engaged in Azerbaijan-Armenia peace talks
The European Union is actively engaged in negotiations on normalising relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
This was stated by the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Azerbaijan Pauline Eiseman, Report informs.
The Dutch diplomat stressed the importance for both sides to start working on a peace treaty.
“While I am here, I would very much like to see concrete steps in this direction,” the ambassador added.
Dutch companies can take part in the restoration of infrastructure in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories, but the mine threat slows down this process.
“This is a zone of the former conflict, there are many landmines planted. We are working with Azerbaijan’s Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) on mine clearance. The Dutch company provided technical equipment to the Agency, and our country has experience in this area as well.”
