Dutch Parliament passes over 20 anti-Azerbaijani resolutions for four years
Azerbaijan’s ambassador to the Netherlands Rahman Mustafayev has said that from October 2020 to May 2024, the Dutch Parliament passed 26 overtly provocative anti-Azerbaijani resolutions.
“The Dutch government has been subjected to over 200 questions of a similar anti-Azerbaijani nature. No other country receives such 'attention' in the Dutch Parliament as Azerbaijan does,” Mustafayev stated, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The ambassador noted that these inquiries are driven by the Armenian side, which typically approaches Dutch legislators from Christian or far-right parties, urging them to “condemn” Azerbaijan and support “the long-suffering Christian Armenia” in its conflict with “the devious and well-armed Muslim Azerbaijan.”
“Many lawmakers are so entrenched in anti-Azerbaijani sentiment that they need little persuasion—any pretext will suffice for them to attack our country,” Mustafayev added.
