Azerbaijan presents new draft military regulations
The Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan unveiled new draft regulations on military discipline, garrison and guard services, and internal service during a presentation held on May 30.
The regulations were prepared by a dedicated working group comprising representatives from various military institutions, following an order by Defence Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov. The initiative aims to update existing military codes in line with contemporary needs and standards, Caliber.Az reports per the ministry.
At the event, detailed information was shared regarding the working group’s efforts and the content of the new draft regulations. Officials emphasised that the reforms take into account recent advancements within the Armed Forces, as well as the nation’s cultural and spiritual values. The regulations reflect the direction of military modernisation under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
The defence minister addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of strengthening military discipline. He provided guidance on recognising and awarding exemplary servicemen and assigned relevant tasks to military officials to ensure effective implementation of the upcoming regulations.
