Azerbaijan’s foreign minister, US senator discuss bilateral ties, regional security PHOTO
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a meeting on May 29 with US Senator Steve Daines, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, to discuss the current state of Azerbaijan–US relations and pressing regional developments.
During the meeting, the current state and prospects of Azerbaijan–U.S. relations, the importance of inter-parliamentary ties, regional security issues, and the post-conflict situation in the region were discussed, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov briefed the Senator on the current situation and realities in the region in the post-conflict period, the Azerbaijan–Armenia normalisation process, and the challenges ahead.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
