Uzbek president to attend WUF13 in Baku

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is expected to attend the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, according to a senior foreign policy adviser to the Uzbek president.

Abdulaziz Kamilov confirmed to local media that the Uzbek head of state is planning to visit Azerbaijan to take part in the forum, Caliber.Az reports.

Kamilov said preparations for the visit were already underway. He added that during a brief meeting with a delegation the previous day, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev had expressed gratitude that Mirziyoyev accepted the invitation and was ready to participate in the forum.

To note, the 13th edition of the World Urban Forum will be held in Baku from May 17 to 22.
