Azerbaijan condemns missile attack on Türkiye, warns against escalation

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov spoke by phone with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, in a discussion centred on the escalating tensions in the Middle East.

During the call, Bayramov strongly condemned the missile attack on Turkish territory and reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s support for the “brotherly” nation, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry.

FM Bayramov warned that further military escalation could result in serious and undesirable consequences.

The ministers also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest, highlighting the importance of continued cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in addressing regional security challenges.
