Economy minister hails Azerbaijan’s energy potential at Davos forum PHOTO
Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov has described the country’s energy potential at Davos forum.
Jabbarov took part in the session “COP28 and the Road Ahead” within the 54th session of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, Caliber.Az reports citing Jabbarov’s message on X.
“We described Azerbaijan’s efforts undertaken to achieve the medium-term goals for the transition to green energy, highlighting our country's potential in sustainable energy during the session “COP28 and the Road Ahead” within the 54th World Economic Forum in Davos," the message says.
“We noted the importance of investing in initiatives aimed at creating a favourable environmental situation. Moreover, we expressed our expectations for the contribution of effective investment strategies and partnerships aimed at achieving zero carbon emissions to address climate change issues within the COP29 conference, to be held in Azerbaijan,” the message says.
