EDP: Armenia’s economy grows 6% in first nine months of 2025
Armenia’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 6 per cent in the first nine months of 2025, according to a review by the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).
The EDB review highlighted that the largest contributions to growth came from the financial sector, information and communications, and construction, which expanded by 14.8 per cent, 18.1 per cent, and 22.8 per cent year-on-year, respectively, Caliber.Az reports.
Household consumer spending and investment were identified as the main drivers of domestic demand, increasing by 10.2 per cent and 19.6 per cent year-on-year. In contrast, foreign trade indicators declined following strong performance in the previous year, with exports falling 31.5 per cent and imports dropping 25.6 per cent compared with the same period in 2024.
Despite the slowdown in trade, the EDB review projected that economic growth in Armenia is expected to remain high for the remainder of 2025.
