EFES-2026 drills simulate coastal assault from sea VIDEO
Multinational forces participating in the EFES-2026 exercises in Türkiye carried out a coastal assault operation from the sea, successfully completing another phase of the drills, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence said.
According to the ministry, cited by Caliber.Az, the exercise scenario предусматривал the execution of an assault, during which servicemen from participating countries practised coordinated actions against a simulated enemy positioned along the coastline.
As part of the operation, assault groups advanced toward the shore aboard high-speed boats, closing in on the designated targets. Under intensive fire support, they conducted a landing operation, moved inland, and breached engineering barriers set up by the simulated enemy.
The units then rapidly neutralised defensive positions, securing the area in a short timeframe. The operation resulted in the full clearance of the coastline, allowing for the establishment of safe conditions for the subsequent landing of amphibious forces.
