Egypt, Azerbaijan to convene joint committee meeting
Egypt and Azerbaijan are gearing up for a significant milestone in their bilateral relations as they prepare to host a meeting of the Joint Economic and Technical Committee.
The announcement was made by Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat during a press briefing in Cairo, Trend reports.
Al-Mashat highlighted the robust and enduring relationship between Egypt and Azerbaijan, underscoring the promising avenues of cooperation between the two nations. As co-chair of the Joint Economic and Technical Committee alongside Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy, she expressed optimism about the potential for collaboration across various sectors.
The areas identified for potential cooperation include infrastructure development, oil and gas, information and communication technology (ICT), and pharmaceuticals. Al-Mashat emphasized the anticipation of expanding cooperation in these sectors in the near future, signaling a deepening of economic ties between the two countries.
Highlighting the recent engagement between the two countries, Al-Mashat mentioned the visit of a delegation comprising businessmen and government officials from Azerbaijan to her country just last month.
