Elite forces from six nations unite for strategic drills in Baku VIDEO
The Distinguished Visitors Day of the Eternal Brotherhood – IV multinational joint special forces exercise took place in Baku, marking a significant demonstration of military cooperation and strategic interoperability among allied nations.
Special forces units from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Qatar, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan actively participated in the large-scale drill, which focused on enhancing coordination and combat preparedness in joint operational environments, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry.
The event was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Defence and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, alongside senior officials from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence. High-ranking military delegations from participating countries, as well as defence attachés accredited to Azerbaijan, were also present.
The day began with a detailed briefing outlining the overall objectives, operational timeline, and tactical elements of the exercise. Attendees were presented with a visual model of the operational area to better understand the coordination and planned execution of upcoming tasks.
Following the briefing, guests observed the practical phase of the exercise at a designated training ground. Special forces units carried out complex operational tasks in close coordination with other branches of the armed forces, showcasing joint combat readiness and precision.
A symbolic highlight of the event was a parachute display featuring skydivers bearing the national flags of each participating country — a gesture underscoring unity and cooperation.
In his remarks, Colonel General Valiyev praised the professionalism and high level of combat readiness exhibited throughout the exercise. He commended the troops for their dedication and expressed confidence in their continued service success.
He further emphasized the strategic importance of such multinational exercises in fostering the exchange of tactical expertise, improving interoperability in joint missions, and reinforcing international security and regional stability through collaborative defence efforts.
As a token of appreciation, Colonel General Valiyev presented keepsakes to representatives of the participating nations. The event concluded with a formal concert program celebrating the spirit of camaraderie and joint commitment.
Notably, delegations from Belarus, Italy, and Hungary attended the exercise in the capacity of observers, highlighting growing international interest in cooperative defence initiatives under the Eternal Brotherhood framework.
