Envoy: Armenian, Azerbaijani foreign ministers' meeting in US scheduled for January 2024

Armenian Ambassador for Special Assignments Edmon Marukyan has said that the meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers Ararat Mirzoyan and Ceyhun Bayramov in Washington will be held in January 2024.

He made the remarks on the air of the country's Public TV, Caliber.Az reports.

"At the moment we don't have a final and agreed draft peace treaty ready to be signed. We hope that at the upcoming Foreign Ministry-level meeting in January, to which Azerbaijan has also agreed, we will agree on this text," he said.

Earlier, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan agreed to a ministerial meeting in Washington at a meeting with State Department Senior Advisor for South Caucasus Negotiations Louis Bono.
