Envoy: Azerbaijani flag raised next to Turkish flag PHOTO

Türkiye and Azerbaijan will continue to act together against traitors, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Cahit Bagci said.

He made the remarks at an event on the occasion of Türkiye's Democracy and National Unity Day on July 15, Report informs. 

"Fetullah Terrorist Organisation [FETÖ] still continues its activities in the global format and always tries to realise traitorous plans against the world," the ambassador stressed.

According to Bagci, FETÖ is carrying out active activities and always takes treacherous steps against Türkiye at the first opportunity.

"They are traitors to the homeland," he said

"We always honour with reverence the bright memory of the 251 shehidis who died seven years ago on July 15," the ambassador added.

The ambassador noted that during the protest against the coup, the Azerbaijani flag was raised alongside the Turkish flag.

"Seven years ago, just like in the 44-day Patriotic War, the Azerbaijani flag was raised along with the Turkish flag. This is another proof of the connection between the two brotherly nations," Bagci emphasised.
