Envoy: Belarus ready to join Azerbaijan's Karabakh restoration efforts
Belarus Ambassador to Azerbaijan Dmitry Pinevich has said Belarus is prepared to support various projects for the reconstruction of Karabakh, including the state program Great Return.
At a press conference reviewing the results of 2025, the ambassador noted that during his tenure in Baku, he had visited Azerbaijan’s liberated territories seven times, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
“I have not only visited Karabakh. Over this time, I have been able to see how the region is returning to life and how the ‘Great Return’ is being implemented,” he said.
Furthermore, the envoy hailed the meeting between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia in Washington on August 8 and expressed readiness to contribute to the peace process in the South Caucasus.
The ambassador also noted Belarus’s recognition of Azerbaijan’s growing international stature.
Pinevich highlighted the steady growth in trade and economic partnership between Minsk and Baku.
He said industrial cooperation holds particular importance in bilateral relations. The diplomat highlighted the ongoing systematic work at the Ganja Automobile Plant, where approximately 14,000 Belarus tractors have been produced to date.
“At the same time, the plant assembles fire-rescue and municipal equipment,” Pinevich emphasised.
