Envoy: UK seeks partnership in Azerbaijan’s post-conflict reconstruction
The United Kingdom is actively seeking to support Azerbaijan’s post-conflict recovery and development, with British companies already contributing to significant infrastructure projects in the region.
Fergus Auld, the British Ambassador to Azerbaijan, emphasised that Karabakh is seeing the creation of world-class infrastructure, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
According to Auld, UK businesses are participating across multiple sectors, including energy, urban planning, and demining.
Moreover, he added that BP is advancing a solar energy project in Jabrayil, while Chapman Taylor has assisted in developing master plans for several cities. Meanwhile, Zaha Hadid Architects, known for designing the Heydar Aliyev Centre, is exploring further opportunities in the region.
"These initiatives underscore the United Kingdom’s commitment to partnership in Azerbaijan’s reconstruction and long-term development," he noted.
