Erdoğan embarks on Southeast Asia tour with Malaysia stop
President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has arrived in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, for an official visit as part of a four-day tour of Southeast Asia focused on strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
During his visit, Erdoğan is scheduled to address civil servants and students at a meeting titled “Strategic Partnership between Türkiye and Malaysia in the New Century,” Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
Additionally, at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre, Sultan of Perak, Nazrin Shah, will confer an honorary doctorate on the Turkish leader in recognition of his contributions to global diplomacy.
Erdoğan's visit also includes engagements with the Malaysian business community to promote economic collaboration. In addition, regional and global issues, particularly the ongoing situation in Gaza, will be addressed during the talks.
Following Malaysia, the Turkish President will travel to Jakarta, capital of Indonesia where he will co-chair a High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting with Indonesian officials, before concluding his trip in Islamabad with another such meeting in Pakistan.
