Erdogan: Türkiye advances normalisation with Armenia amid close dialogue with Baku

Türkiye is actively pursuing normalisation processes with Armenia while maintaining close dialogue with Azerbaijan, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during the 16th Ambassadors Conference. 

Speaking at the conference, Erdogan stressed that the South Caucasus, a region long yearning for peace, is now going through a historic period, Caliber.Az reports via local media. 

"Azerbaijan and Armenia are closer than ever to signing a peace agreement. In parallel with this process, and in dialogue with Azerbaijan, we are also moving forward with our normalisation steps with Armenia. God willing, we will take some symbolic steps starting from the beginning of next year," Erdogan said.
